CATTLEY, Stephen Wildman.

Born at Croydon, Surrey, 28th October 1860.
Died at Dean, Sparsholt, Winchester, Hampshire, 11th April 1925.
He was the son of W.Cattley, of Westlands, West Grinstead, Horsham, Surrey. He was educated at Eton, where he was a member of the cricket eleven 1878-79. He played for Surrey in 23 first-class matches 1879-83. His brother Arthur Cyril also played for Eton. His father was a hop merchant and so were both sons.
In the 1881 Census he appears, aged 20, as son to hop merchant at 57 Eaton Square, London, there is a butler and eight other domestic servants. Otherwise he is alone!
