GREEN, William Barham.
Amateur.
Born at St Kilda, Melbourne, Australia, August 1852.
Died at North Chailey, Sussex, 18th June 1928.
Educated at Eton and Cambridge University he did not play cricket at either establishment, but played soccer for Cambridge University. He played four first-class matches for the MCC 1880-1884. He county cricket was for Hertfordshire 1875-82.
He was a landowner and farmer.
The 1881 Census finds him resident at Great Sarratt Hall, Sarratt, Hertfordshire, aged 28, owner of freehold property and a farmer of about 300 acres employing 8 men and 2 boys. His wife is Marian, aged 27 and there are two daughters, Helen aged 3 and Lilian aged 1 and a son Bernard aged 10 months. There are four domestic servants.
