Match report Zimbabwe v Bangladesh 2003/04 2nd Test day 2
by John Ward
Although it had not rained again since the previous afternoon, the second
day’s play at Queens Sports Club was abandoned soon after lunch, again
without a ball being bowled. The problem was a large area in one corner of
the outfield, which had been squelching mud on the first day and was now
little better. The entire future of this match is now in serious jeopardy,
and any more significant rain will almost certainly see it join the short
list of matches abandoned without a ball being bowled. This would be most
ironic considering Bulawayo’s reputation for dryness.
