The Australian side continued its dominant run in the one-dayers as they dismantled a meek Pakistani side to romp to win by 135 runs. Winning the toss and batting first Australia powered itself to a challenging total of 277 in its fifty overs. Pakistan in reply could manage just 142 in 37.5 overs as the visitors slipped to yet another embarrassing defeat. Ryan Harris once again created havoc on the Pakistani batting line up as he got his second five wicket haul in as many matches.

Batting first the Australian side got off to a slow start as Asif and Rana asphyxiated the Australian openers and soon had the hosts reeling at 110 for 4 in 21.4 overs. The innings was put back on track by White (44, 63 balls, 3x4, 1x6) and Hussey (67, 75 balls, 4x4) as the pair put on 49 in 13.1 overs before the former holed out in the deep. Hussey found a willing partner in Hauritz (53 not out, 39 balls, 3x6, 1x4) as the pair ran amok to push the Australian score to 277. The pair added an entertaining 60 in 9.2 overs as the Pakistani team left the field stunned.

Pakistan in reply got off to a horrendous start as they lost early wickets to an enterprising Ryan Harris. The visitors continued to lose wickets at regular intervals and soon folded up for a meek 142.
