South Africa completed a comprehensive Test win over West Indies and with it sealed the Test series 2-0. The Windies had hoped that the Chanderpaul and the tail might give them a fighting total but in the end Morkel was too hot for the tailenders to handle.

Resuming at 134 for 7, the Windies hopes of making a sizable lead soon disappeared as Morkel simply swept aside the lower order. There were a couple of lusty blows from the bat of Chanderpaul and Benn but that was it. Morkel produced a perfect in-swinger from round the stumps and Benn found his off stump lying an yard away. Roach was caught behind of an out-swinger from Morkel and then the innings ended when Bess was caught at second slip.

With just 47 runs to win the South African batsmen came out in an attacking mood.

The West Indian side was in no mood to relent as the pacers, Roach and Bess, bowled with fire and aggression. Smith was peppered with some short pitch stuff and the burly southpaw was hit on the cheek even once. Smith was rattled and he pulled limply to midwicket. Roach then proceeded to clean up Petersen with a perfect off-cutter.

Roach was literally on fire as he pinged Kallis on the helmet but it was then the young pacer lost his cool. Kallis and Roach began to exchange words and the scenes simply got uglier. Roach followed up the bouncer with another high one and the war of words continued.

Roach seemed to have cooled down after the incident and the proceeded to remove Amla from the middle who drove away from his body and was caught at gully. de Villiers had the honour of hitting the winning runs as he squeezed a full delivery from Roach through third man.
