A to M had Taylor as a given man; N to Z had Aylward. Fennex played for N to Z because his name was understood to be a corruption of 'Phœnix'. Day 2 was ruined by rain so the match had to be completed some days later when Lennox was presumably unable to play. The changes to second-innings batting orders may be in order of dismissal; it is unlikely that Wells batted last in N-Z (2), but he may well have been last out.
