On the first day play ended at 4.10 p.m. as a storm approached. As well as having lost two wickets AR Jones had also returned to the dressing room with a badly bruised finger. Jones batted again on the second day coming to the crease at the dismissal of Khan. After facing three balls Jones was dismissed at what was the commencement of a near hat-trick for Weakley followed next ball and Joyce was then bowled on a no-ball. The over from Durtanovich read - .x...xxn. On the third day New South Wales Colts closed their innings leaving Queensland Colts to score 173 runs in 150 minutes for outright victory. Before the Queensland innings could commence rain fell at 2.30 p.m. and the match was finally abandoned at four o'clock.
