Ten minutes before time on the first day Murdoch appealed against the light which was upheld by the umpires.
H.Wood, owing to being hit on his fingers while batting, was unable to field at the start of Border's second innings, his place behind the stumps taken by Murdoch, with Leaney fielding as substitute. Wood resumed on the third day.
