Our thanks to Arthur Haygarth for collecting the information and to Roger Heavens for providing this scorecard which was first published in Arthur Haygarth's Cricket Scores and Biographies Volume 16. Copies of the book can be obtained from http://booksoncricket.net . Additions or corrections to this scorecard would be gratefully received.
The annual matches at racquets and billiards which were fixed for the 9th and 10th instant at the Royal Artillery Barracks, Woolwich, were postponed until the 16th and 17th owing to the expected arrival of the ship (Orontes) containing the body of the Louis Napoleon, the Prince Imperial from Zululand.
