S & B states that I the second innings of Newburgh Park the opening batsmen Battye was given no initials and the compiler put it down to the first batsman of that name. It is not inconceivable that the number ten batsman could have opened with the number eleven.
In the Newburgh Park first innings one of the Benson's dismissed J.Winter and caught Wombwell but it was not stated which it was.
