For the home team, V Thompson's 58 included 9 fours, Hansell's 57 contained 10 fours and Mortimer's 57 included 1 five and 8 fours. In the Northumberland second innings, Mortimer and Hansell put on 111 for the second wicket, V Thompson and Greenway 63 for the seventh wicket, and V Thompson and Tomlin 68 for the ninth. The latter was the joint third highest partnership for that wicket during the season. For Northamptonshire, Colson's 59 contained 9 fours.
