This card comes from the Minor Counties Research Project - research is continuing on this scorecard which can be expected to change.
Glamorgan won by an innings and 1 run at 3.25 pm on the second day. For the winners, there was 1 five and 9 fours in Sweet-Escott's 97 not out. When Nash came to the crease at the fall of the ninth wicket, it looked likely that Sweet-Escott would be stranded
well short of his hundred. He fell just 3 runs short when Nash was bowled by Barker. The last wicket had added 22 runs. Whittington scored 66 including 6 fours. The debutant Rattenbury took 7 wickets for 37 runs in the Berkshire second innings. The 34 extras conceded in the Glamorgan innings were the the third highest in the season. When Nepean caught J H Brain in the Glamorgan innings, it was his fiftieth in championship matches.
