Dorset won by an innings and 41 runs shortly after lunch on the second day after enforcing the follow-on. The start on the first day was delayed until 12.15, due to the after-effects of heavy rain on the Sunday night. For the winners, Udal on his debut took 10 wickets in the match for 75 runs.
