Match drawn with Glamorgan winning on first innings. The Surrey declaration left Glamorgan a second innings victory target of 242 runs in 2½ hours. For the visitors, Creber took 10 wickets in the match for
214 runs. The 214 runs he conceded were the most in a match during the season, and a new Championship record, exceeding his own record of 213 runs for Glamorgan against Surrey 2nd XI the previous year, also at The Oval. There were 6 fours in Brain's 54 and 1 five and 7 fours in Russell's 50 not out. In the Glamorgan first innings, Osborne and Creber added 50 runs for the eighth wicket.
