Buckinghamshire won this return match by three wickets on the second day. The match between the two teams at Chippenham two weeks before had been won by Wiltshire. In their second innings, Buckinghamshire had required only 61 runs for victory but lost seven wickets in achieving it. For the winners, Weaver-Adams scored 73. For the losers, Taunton scored 59 and Butterworth 52. Warrilow, who had not been a regular bowler for Wiltshire, took nine wickets in the match for 79 runs.
