For the winners there were 16 fours and 7 threes in Falcon's 143, an innings of 3 hours and 5 minutes. Falcon also took 6 wickets for 46 runs in Hertfordshire's first innings. For the losers Household scored 54, Cowley 56, and Coleman 54. Shelford took 5 wickets for 38 runs in Norfolk's second innings. Thursby was selected for Norfolk but he missed his train and Pilch played in his stead.
