Norfolk won this match by an innings and 42 runs at 12.30 pm on the second day after enforcing the follow-on. Rain threatened on both days and delayed play after lunch for 15 minutes on the first day. For the winners, there were 6 fours in Falcon's 58 and 4 fours in Falconer's 52 not out. In the Norfolk innings Falconer and Gibson added 61 runs for the ninth wicket. Falconer took 5 wickets for 11 runs in Cambridgeshire's first innings while Coulson took 5 wickets for 75 runs in Norfolk's innings. For the losers Tebbutt made the highest score with 48, which included 6 fours. Umpire Gregory is reported as having fallen ill on the first day, with R G Pilch taking his place.
