Once more the South exerted its pressure on its Northern counterpart, this time at Belgrano A.C. and only considerable rainfall saved the latter eleven from another drubbing. The South batting on the first day compiled 336 for six wickets before the close of play. Solidarity was the keynote of the South's batting with Alberto Ruffo being unlucky to have to retire with cramp when nearing his century. He hit 10 x 4's and a six before suffering cramp in the foot. Once again the North bowling was ineffectual and their batting was little better. Raphael Villamil mad Robbie Kirton bowled in well for the South, particularly the former. Lewis Ross batted in his usual dour style for the North and was undefeated in the first innings. In the second innings Alan Morris and Peter Runnacles managed to force a draw, despite brilliant bowling by Douglas Annand.
