Notes
--> There was no play on the final day.
Rain on the last day pf this great encounter ruined what might have been seen as an interesting match. The North eleven was reinforced but the presence of Raymond Tolchard. The South won the toss again and batted first compiling 365 for 6 wickets off 106 overs. Chris Nino scored a century with 11 x 4's and 1 x 6 and was well backed up by M.G.Ryan who scored 71 with 9 x 4's. The best bowling was by Ted Dunstan of B.A.C.R.C. North were unable to avoid the follow on despite an innings of 75 with 10 x 4's by Frankie Forrester well supported by Lewis Ross. At close of play on the second day the North were 34 for 2 and with the South spin bowling in the ascendance a defeat was on the cards. However the heavens opened and the match was abandoned.
