| Event: | ICC Women's World Twenty20 2009 |
DateLine: 13th June 2009
Openers Suzie Bates (61 off 39 balls, 11 boundaries) and Lucy Doolan (41 off 38 balls, two fours, three sixes) added 94 runs as New Zealand piled up 158/6 and went on to crush the West Indies by 52 runs at Taunton.

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat and at one stage looked good for a very big score. However, the West Indies ladies did well to restrict them to 158. Off-spinner Stafanie Taylor claimed 2/25 off four overs.
Taylor was also the star for the West Indies with the bat, scoring 58 not out off 56 balls with six boundaries, but none of the other batters had much to offer as New Zealand restricted them to 106/7.
Doolan also impressed with the ball, claiming 3/16 off four overs.LATEST SCORES
