RCB and Otago Volts will fight it out for survival in the CL T20 today.

Both the teams after being bit by the venomous Cape Cobras have no other option but but to raise their game and win to stay afloat in the competition.

The Royal Challengers look a little more balanced considering they had a good batting outing against the Cobras but as far as bowling is concerned there is still a lot of work to be done and considering a solo effort of 99 devastated them on the first day, the work is cut out. The men from Bengaluru also need to be working hard on their fielding because that was one of the key reasons for their defeat.

Opener Robin Uthappa and middle-order batsman Ross Taylor have shown that they are in good nick and any batting order that includes Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli, Jacques Kallis and Mark Boucher is good enough to scare the opposition.

As regards the bowling department, Praveen Kumar was the only one who looked in good nick with the leather. The others including the great Anil Kumble looked mesmerized by the pyrotechnics of Duminy.

On the other hand, their Kiwi opponents for today have a pretty feeble bowling attack which they showed the other day as the Cobras scored a mammoth 193 against them. Their batting performance was also nothing to write home about but then we all know about the exploits of a Brendon McCullum on this ground and considering he would be opening for the Volts, Anil Kumble and his men would know what their job for today is.

Despite half a dozen international players in the side comprising of Kiwi internationals like the McCullum brothers, Aaron Redmond, Neil Broom besides English all-rounder Dimitri Mascarenhas, the Volts have a certain brittle look about their batting and if they want to come anywhere close to their opponents for today, they will have to raise their games by many a notches.
