Scorecard: | Pakistan v South Africa |
Player: | J Theron, Shahid Afridi |
Event: | South Africa in United Arab Emirates 2010/11 |
DateLine: 28th October 2010
The South African side once showed their opponents that whats they lacked in flair they made it up with discipline. The Pakistani batting unit once again imploded against a clinical bowling attack as they could manage just 120 for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. The South African side cruised to the target for the loss of 4 wickets in 18.4 overs.

Shahid Afridi had no hesitation in electing to bat first on a track that looked like a batting beauty. But the top-order crumbled against some accurate bowling attack as none of the Pakistani batsmen could dominate the opposition bowling. Wickets fell at regular intervals as the batsmen tried to up the ante. Basic aspects of batting were forgotten as evident from the mindless run-out of Umar Akmal. With wickets falling all the Pakistani hopes rested on the shoulders f Shahid Afridi who once again flattered to deceive.
Misbah ul Haq played a sedate knock as he helped the Pakistani side get past the 100 run mark. Theron was the chief destroyer for the South African side as he picked up four cheap wickets.
The South African side in reply literally cruised to the target with minimum fuss. The Pakistani skipper did make it a little bit hard for the South African batsmen as he bowled beautifully. Mohammad Hafeez and Saeed Ajmal did their best but was not enough as nothing could stop the South African side from winning the second and the final match thus taking home the T20 series.LATEST SCORES
