Ramsbottom have re-signed Pieter Malan as their professional for the 2013 season.

 

Ramsbottom Cricket Chairman Andy Dalby said: "Pieter has been a model professional in what has been a challenging season with the weather. His batting has been outstanding and that has reflected in the amount of runs he has scored. The decision to re-sign him was an easy one and it was made straightforward in that Pieter was keen to return for the 2013 season."

 

The South African is the Lancashire League's leading run scorer with 905 runs at 69.6 with three centuries and six half centuries.

 

He also lead Ramsbottom to a third 20/20 Cup Final win, hitting a record unbeaten 165 against Rawtenstall in the group match.
