Injured Pakistani all-rounder Abdul Razzaq said Wednesday he aimed to return for a one-day cricket series against England.

"It is frustrating to miss all three Tests, but hopefully I will be back for the one-day series," Razzaq told AFP from Lahore.

The 25-year-old Razzaq was ruled out of the ongoing three-Test series against England due to an elbow injury.

"I am 80 percent fit and bowling in short spells, but the doctors advised me not to risk playing in the third Test," said Razzaq, who has scored 1,523 runs and bagged 77 wickets in 37 Tests.

Pakistan's chief selector Wasim Bari said Razzaq would not be considered for the final Test when the squad would be announced on Thursday.

Bari termed all-rounder Shahid Afridi's loss through suspension as a "big blow."

"Afridi will miss the third Test and it leaves one place in the team vacant, but we have too many options to fill the spot," said Bari.

Afridi was banned for one Test and two one-day internationals for damaging the pitch on Monday.

The third Test starts in Lahore from November 29.

The five-match one-day series starts with back-to-back games in Lahore on December 10 and 12.
