May 21: Mahendra Singh Dhoni's fast growing list of fans now includes the name of former West Indian great Jeff Dujon, who believes the dashing Indian wicketkeeper-batsman had what it takes to be an all-rounder. "Dhoni looks very competent to me. He is also a very effective batsman. I have not seen him keeping in Tests but he has what it takes to be an all-rounder," Dujon, said. Dhoni, who was recently placed atop the official ICC one-day batsmen rankings, has been impressive in his first two seasons of international cricket Asked to compare Indian captain Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar, Dujon said both were essential to the Indian team. "Sachin has also played a whole lot of cricket. If you take his injuries out, then he would be one of the finest batsman the world has ever seen," said the Jamaican, who played 81 Tests during the golden era of Caribbean cricket.

"Dravid has a phenomenal record. He is a very difficult batsman to get out. His figures prove it. "Both would make any team in the world and give equal value," said the key member of the invincible West Indies team of the 80s. Dujon added that India was among top three best teams in the world, which made it one of the favourites for the World Cup to be held in the Caribbean next year. “I have no doubt that they are one of the best three teams in the world. The winner of the next World Cup is going to be among the top five teams. So India is definitely one of the favourites," concluded Dujon.
