Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly said Friday it was "anybody's game" as South Africa and India headed towards a tense final day in the third and final Test at Newlands.

At the end of the fourth day, South Africa needed 156 runs and India eight wickets on a crumbling pitch to clinch a series which is tied at 1-1. India's dream of a historic series win in South Africa suffered a blow when they collapsed in their second innings but their hopes were revived when they claimed two South African wickets before the close. Needing 211 to win, South Africa were 55 for two in their quest for a come-from-behind series win after losing the first Test. "If we can get Jacques Kallis early the pressure will be on South Africa," said Ganguly, identifying South Africa's all-time leading Test batsman as the key wicket. "As the ball gets older, it gets harder to score and the surface is pretty rough." Kallis is due to come out to bat Saturday with captain Graeme Smith after Hashim Amla was out to the last ball of the day. India were bowled out for 169 in their second innings after captain Rahul Dravid (47) and Ganguly (46) had seemingly batted them to a position of safety with a third wicket stand of 84.
