Sreesanth is the only Kerala bowler to have taken a Ranji Trophy hat-trick. That has been his calling card for a long time, but suddenly 2007 has been a season in which he really came of age. Bowling well in the test series in South Africa was topped up by a consistent performance in the T20 world cup, again in South Africa, and in between there were inconsistent performances on the tour of England.

Even then his ability is not lost on any one as he can generate decent pace and swings the ball away from the right handed batsmen at will, thus this becomes his most potent weapon. This may be one of the reasons why he was selected for the Duleep trophy in his first season itself and that, after scalping 22 wickets in his first seven games. Though a touch expensive in ODIs, he has the knack of talking to and thus motivating himself to do better
With an aggressive approach to the stumps and the game, he has been courting trouble fro all quarters, be it the opposition or the team mates. He copped flak from the visiting Australians in October 2007, and then on tour Down Under the following December. When South Africa came calling in March 2008, even they complained of his rash on-field behaviour. He clashed with his team mate Harbhajan Singh during the IPL, after which he was slapped by Bhajji, leaving him in tears in front of the whole world. He is a great dancer and the prankster in the dressing room, though he has mellowed down after the ‘slap incident’. He was bought by the Mohali franchise to play for their team Kings XI Punjab.LATEST SCORES
