Player: | PA Browne |
DateLine: 18th June 2008
He is a useful wicketkeeper-batsman who might not get too many chances with three others in the squad fighting for the same spot. He toured England with West Indies Under-19s in 2001 and slowly became a regular in the Barbados side thereafter. In 2007 he returned to England with the West Indies A team and impressed the selectors to be called into the squad ahead of the 2007-08 South Africa trip. When injuries took their toll he was called up, as an understudy to Denesh Ramdin, but he made his ODI debut as a specialist batsman, and will find further chances in the future at the same position. He is a predominantly leg-side player.
