Biography: | He participated in every game he could find, sometimes twice in a day, in a 71-year cricket career. Bowled underarm lobs and in the last 30 years of his cricket career he scored 26,000 runs and took 8,500 wickets. Between 1871 and 1893 he took 59 hat-tricks. Enjoyed a testimonal match at The Oval in 1896 which raised £120. |
