Notes
--> The last man standing rule applied for this match - when only one not out batsman remained the player continued batting with a runner until dismissed
--> Bowling in the Birmingham first innings adds 1 run over

Our thanks to Arthur Haygarth for collecting the information and to Roger Heavens for providing this scorecard which was first published in Arthur Haygarth's Cricket Scores and Biographies Volume 16. Source notes "A Single wicket match. Let it be remembered that in this match the Four could make runs in any direction, and the Eleven in front of the wicket only. Many letters appeared in the sporting papers about the advantage each side had over the other as to the way the runs had to be obtained, some arguing one way and some the other. Blamires got 17 wickets including nine in the second innings of his opponents.
Weather pleasant but ground heavy from late rains. Single wicket matches now extremely rare and very uninteresting."
Extras batsman has been added to each innings to show the runner with the final batsman.
