Glamorgan won this return match by three wickets at 6.0 pm on the second day. The Berkshire declaration set Glamorgan a second innings victory target of 233 runs in shortly over 3 hours. The match between the two sides at Cardiff in July had also been won by Glamorgan. For the winners, there were 14 fours and 6 threes in Bancroft's 105, scored in 110 minutes. His 61 in the Glamorgan second innings included ?'4's and he reached his 50 in just over 20 minutes. Sweet-Escott's 50 contained ?'4's.
Creber took 10 wickets in the match for 202 runs, including 8 for 69 in the Berkshire first innings. For Berkshire, Rowe's 75 contained 11 fours, Watts's 55 included 12 fours, and Hutson's 53 contained ?'4's. In the Berkshire first innings, with the score at 64-8 wickets, Horspool broke a finger taking a return from Gibbs. Bancroft took over the gloves and Watts fielded as substitute. Riches kept wicket in the Berkshire second innings. The match aggregate of 992 runs was the second highest of the season. The 202 runs conceded by Creber in the match were the second highest of the year.
