Monmouthshire won this return match by 133 runs on the second day. The match between the two sides at Llandovery in July had been won by Monmouthshire. For the winners Silverlock scored 92, Maltby 73, and Giles 57 not out. Silverlock took 6 wickets for 82 runs in the first Carmarthenshire first innings. For Carmarthenshire 73 runs were added for the eighth wicket by Gee and Lewis.
