For the winners Vibart played an 'explosive' innings of 125 not out, which included 6 sixes and 13 fours; he received a collection of £3 2s 2d in recognition of this.
He also top-scored in Cornwall's second innings with 40 and caught 4 batsman and stumped another in what was a most impressive all-round performance.
Escott took 5 wickets for 55 runs in Devon's first innings and Whiting took 5 wickets for 46 in their second.
For the losers Fulcher top-scored in both innings; there were 1 five and 10 fours in his 73 not out whilst there were 1 five and 7 fours in his 62.
In Devon's second innings he added 113 for the 7th wicket with Conde-Williams; Fulcher also took 5 wickets for 69 runs in Cornwall's second innings.
Davies caught 3 batsmen in Cornwall's second innings and made a stumping in both of their knocks.
