Monday's play was on a new wicket as agreed before the game.
Attendance: Saturday £136, about 4,500 people. Monday £213, about 7,500.
Wilmot Robinson (Colne's wicket keeper) was hit in the face from a fast ball from Riley, early in Nelson's innings, and had to retire. Len Rushton took up wicket=keeping duties. On Monday, Robinson resumed behind the stumps with a patch over one eye.
