by AFP
England seamer Matthew Hoggard has been fined 20 percent of his match fee Wednesday for breaching the International Cricket Council's (ICC) code of conduct during the first Test defeat to Pakistan in Multan.
Hoggard was reported for celebrating the dismissal of Pakistan's Salman Butt on Tuesday without confirming with the umpire that the batsman was out.
He was found guilty at a hearing conducted by ICC match referee Roshan Mahanama following the conclusion of the Test.
He could have been fined a maximum of 50 per cent of his match fee.
The entire Pakistan side have also been fined 10 percent of their respective match fees after the team fell two overs short of the minimum number required to be bowled in the time available.
Inzamam-ul-Haq, as captain, was fined 20 percent.
