Inzamam, retired hurt on 35 after being struck on the right wrist by fast bowler
Steve Harmison on Wednesday, reached the milestone when he passed 45 during his innings of 97.
West Indian Brian Lara tops the list with 11,204 in 121 Tests after surpassing Australian Allan Border record of 11,174 in the third and final Test against Australia at Adelaide last week.
Inzamam, who made his Test debut against England at Birmingham in 1992, is only the second Pakistani batsman after former captain Javed Miandad to join the 8,000-club.
