Media Release - 20 October 2006

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formalized the Anti-Doping Tribunal to conduct investigations on the use of the prohibited drug Nandrolone by Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif. The tribunal comprises the following:

1. Barrister Shahid Hamid
Ex-Governor Punjab and Advocate

Members

2. Mr Intikhab Alam
Former Pakistan Captain and Coach

3. Dr Waqar Ahmad
Director Sports Medicine, Pakistan Sports Board

As per the official spokesman of PCB, the tribunal will commence work with immediate effect. The PCB Chairman held its first briefing session with the tribunal earlier today and instructed to present its findings and recommendations as soon as possible.
