Gwilym Went had a good record in club cricket for Barry C.C., and in 1934 the 20 year old right-handed batsman was called up by Glamorgan to play in their Championship fixture against Gloucestershire at Llanelli.

 

Went never played again in first-class cricket, but he appeared for the county`s 2nd XI in their Minor County fixtures in 1937.
