Arthur Creber was the son of Harry Creber, the long-serving Glamorgan professional and groundsman at St.Helen`s. Whereas his father been a left-arm spinner, Arthur was a right-arm seam bowler and forceful batsman.

 

He made one appearance for Glamorgan, against Leicestershire at Loughborough in 1929, before leaving South Wales to take up an appointment, initially as a professional with a club in Manchester, and then in Scotland, for whom he appeared in 1937.
