A nephew of former Test cricketer Phil Simmons, Lendl Simmons is an excellent fielder and an occasional wicketkeeper alongside being a good batsman. He has represented the Caribbean side in the 2002 and 2004 Under-19 World Cups. He won his first international cap in December 2006 but failed miserably getting out for a second ball duck of the Bowling of Umar Gul. When England toured West Indies in 2008-09, he showed his skills in the longer version of the game and made a career-best 282 against England A at St Kitts. He has just played one Test and that was agianst England earlier this year and his performance was nothing to write home about. He had scores of 24 and eight respectively in the first and second innings.
