DateLine: 19th July 2009
Kemar Roach took six Bangladeshi wickets as West Indies extended the lead to 61, with nine wickets intact, by close of play in Grenada. At one stage Bangladesh was wobbling at 157 for 7, but they rallied through vital contributions from Raqibul Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim. Bangladesh were dismissed for 232, replying to West Indies first innings total of 237, with Roach finishing with the figures of six wickets for 48 runs from 23.5 overs. Earlier, several Bangladesh batsmen got starts without carrying on - Mushfiqur Rahim hit the top score of 48, Raqibul Hasan made 44, Tamim Iqbal got 37, and Mahmudullah added 28.

Roach bowled aggressively and used clever variations to pose problems for the batsmen. Roach, bombarded Raqibul with short and accurate bouncers to push him onto the back foot and then followed it up with fuller length outside the off stump which the batsman duly nicked it to the keeper. Shakib Al Hasan pulled a short one from Roach to midwicket and Bangladesh slid to 157 for 7.
Raqibul and Mushfiqur were the only batsmen who batted with guts to reduce the deficit before before being dismissed by Roach. Raqibul had walked in at 75 for 3 and he played responsibly to lead Bangladesh's revival and he was well supported by Mushfiqur. Post tea, Roach turned his attention to Mushfiqur, who had counter-attacked his way to lead Bangladesh's revival after the fall of Shakib. Roach let loose two consecutive perfume balls to get the batsman stuck in the crease and then a fuller delivery which induced another edge to the keeper. Roach then nailed Shahadat Hossain with another bouncer. Mahmudullah pulled straight to fine leg to give Roach his sixth wicket.LATEST SCORES
