The Mumbai Indians have signed Tamil Nadu and former Indian Cricket League (ICL) player Rajagopal Sathish ahead of the third season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

 

Sathish is a right-hand batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler and he represented both the Chennai Superstars and the ICL India team during the ICL before returning to play for Tamil Nadu in Indian domestic cricket in November.

 

“I want to make optimum use of the chance. I believe a good performance in the tournament will transform into reality my dream to play for the country,” he told a leading Indian daily.

 

“I am in a team captained by batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar. To me, he is the God of cricket and playing with him is dream come true,” he added.

 

The Mumbai Indians finished seventh place in last season's tournament.
