Sri Lankan Women got better of Pakistani Women in a low scoring thriller. Sri Lanka Women won the encounter by just a run as the Pakistan Women lost the final wicket in the last ball of the twentieth over.

Sri Lankan skipper Seneviratne won the toss and elected to bat first but what followed was a nightmare of sorts for the team from Emrald Isles. Batswomen after bats-women were dismissed as they failed to assert any sort of dominance over the proceedings. Galagedara (25, 28b, 3x4) was the top-scorer of the innings SP de Alwis made 22 in 25 balls with three hits to the fence. The Lankans could manage to score just 108 in 19.3 overs as they were all out and the Pakistani Women side must have thought that they had a win in their grasp.

But what followed defied even the most incredible fairy tales. The Pakistani Women faced a bowling attack that had a tigerish resolve and edge. The Pakistani Women barring Bismah Maroof (42, 40b, 4x4) failed to get on top of the Lankan bowling as they themselves scored one run less than their counterparts. The Pakistani side scored 107 in 20 overs thus handing over a one run win to the Lankna side
