Bacup have signed Haseeb Azam as professional for the forthcoming season.

 

Azam has been a prominent member of the Rawalpindi team, captained by Babaar Naeem, that has won the Quail-e-Azam Competition. In the final he opened the bowling and batted number three in both innings.

 

The 27 year-old is a left handed batsman who also bowls right arm medium pace. He has 696 runs at 26.9 and 114 wickets at 21.5 in 30 First-class matches to date.

 

The club wish to thank Danny Arshad of ProSports UK, who has been a great help in the signing of Azam.

 

Bacup's signing means that all the clubs have now signed up a professional for the forthcoming season.
