Rawtenstall have wasted no time in replacing Sanjay Bangar by snapping up New South Wales all rounder Grant Lambert. Skipper Andy Payne said: "We actually looked at Grant before Sanjay so we are absolutely delighted to get him at such short notice. Grant comes very, very highly rated from all our contacts in Australia so we are all really looking forward to playing alongside him."

Lambert's right arm fast-medium paced bowling has picked up 56 wickets at 34.6 since his First-class debut in 2002. The 31 year-old also averages 25.4 with the bat in making 863 runs with a highest score of 86.
He will be the club's 18th Australian professional.
