| Player: | AA Noffke |
DateLine: 3rd June 2008
Ashley Noffke won a Cricket Australia contract way back for the Ashes tour in 2001, but due to injuries has been nothing but stayed on the radar and not made it to the team. Time and again he has been compared to Glenn McGrath and even billed to replace the great bowler and in 2006-07 he was recalled to the Australia A team for a trip to Pakistan.

He bowls with good rhythm with a high, clean and uncomplicated action and generates excellent pace. To add, he is more than a capable lower-order batsman who can defend stoutly, and in 2003-04 he raised his maiden first-class century with 114 not out against South Australia.
His 30 Pura Cup wickets at 24.30 were complemented by two half-centuries complete with a great season in 2007-08 only meant that he was first for two Twenty20 international appearances, his ODI debut in Brisbane against India, and a spot on Australia's Test tour of West Indies in 2008.LATEST SCORES
