George Bingham

Biography:Styled Lord Bingham from 1888 until he succeeded his father as 3rd Earl Lucan in June 1914. MP for Chertsey 1904-06. Elected representative Irish peer to House of Lords in August 1914. Government Chief Whip 1929, 1931-40. Created Baron Bingham of Melcombe Bingham 1934. MCC president 1928-29. (He was the grandfather of the Lord Lucan who 'disappeared' in 1974.)
