Biography:Styled Viscount Clanmaurice until 1863, then Earl of Kerry until July 1866 when he succeeded his father as 5th Marquess of Lansdowne. Governor-General of Canada 1883-88, Viceroy of India 1888-94, Secretary of State for War 1895-1900. MCC President 1869-70.
