Biography:He was known as Earl of Dalkeith as the eldest son of the Duke of Buccleuch and succeeded as 4th Duke of Buccleuch in January 1812. MP for Marlborough 1793-96, Ludgershall 1796-1804, Mitchell 1804-06, Marlborough 1806-07.
