The version above is supported by two newspapers and substantially by Epps (except that he has Nyren (1) with 9, probably a copying error), but Chertsey Museum holds a manuscript and printed scorecard giving very different details, viz: Surrey (2) Minchin 19, byes 2, total 104; Hampshire (2) Aburrow b Lamborn 0, Leer 18, Sueter 11, byes 7, total 68; margin 167 runs. Some sources give the losing team as England but the above is as in Epps and SB.
